- 1963 - Squadron is formed in Ancaster with sponsors of the Ancaster Optimists Club and headquarters in the
Optimist Youth Centre. Flight Lieutenant Eric Walker is the first Commanding Officer.
- 1964 - 735 is awarded the Moir Trophy as the most progressive Squadron in Ontario. Flight Lieutenant Jerry
Sabourin takes command ot the Squadron.
- 1965 - Squadron moves to Dundas Armoury with the Hamilton Air Force Association and Branch 36 Royal
Canadian Legion joining the Sponsoring Committee. Squadron is now 735 Dundas-Ancaster Squadron.
- 1966 - F/L Sabourin relinquishes command to Squadron Leader Winn.
- 1969 - A Squadron competition among cadets results in the nickname "Firebird" Squadron. New York Civil
Air Patrol exchange visits commence with the Brooklyn Wing of the CAP.
- 1970 - Squadron Leader (Now Major) Winn turns command over to Captain Fred Hopkinson.
- 1972 - Squadron is again selected as the most progressive Squadron in Ontario.
- 1973 - Squadron participates in Canadian Cadets on Parade Tattoo.
- 1974 - Search, Rescue and Survival Training with the Civil Air Patrol begins, with participation in New York
State Winter Survival School.
- 1976 - The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Foundation becomes the Official Squadron Sponsor.
- 1979 - Captain Phillip Watson assumes command of the Squadron on Monday September 24. Cadets switch
to green uniforms.
- 1981 - Captain Andrew Herd becomes Commanding Officer.
- 1984 - Captain Ronald H. Smith takes Command.
- 1985 - Squadron visits Comox B.C. Air Cadet Squadron.
- 1986 - Comox Squadron comes to Dundas.
- 1987 - Captain William F. Graham takes Command.
- 1988 - Squadron Celebrates 25th Anniversary. 735 Squadron and five other area Squadrons join to form the
Hamilton Air Group (HAG). Annual HAG competitions commence, including Sports, Drill, Swim Meet, First Aid,
Baseball and Range.
- 1990 - Squadron participates in parade, commemorating 50 Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, London, England.
- 1991 - Captain Brian Carey assumes Command.
- 1993 - Captain Keith Gould assumes Command.
- 1994 - Captain Marilyn Coleman assumes Command.
